World Archery Youth Championship 2019

World Archery Youth Championship 2019 is on the line at Spain. Archer Sakib Molla outshone his senior and experienced teammates Tamimul Islam and Hakim Ahmed Rubel to finish 24 th in individual recurve junior men’s event of Madrid 2019 World Archery Youth Championships in Spain at August 20.

Tamimul and Rubel both are also member of senior recurve team. They scored 659 and 662 points respectively in the qualification round of Hyundai World Archery Championship in Netherlands in June but they fail to improve their performance at the youth competition.

Tamimul And Rubel finished 35th and 44th after scoring 632 & 628 points respectively, while Sakib scores 638 out of 720 points in the qualifying round to finish 24th among 111 participants.

The tiro played elimination round yesterday. Meanwhile Bangladesh became 9th at recurve men’s team despite scoring identical 1898 points as India who finished eighth by virtue of better 10 scoring.

Bangladesh took on Australia at the first round of elimination who currently ranked 24th.

In individual recurve junior women’s event, Mehnaz Akhter Monira scored 583 points to finish 52nd among 73 archers and she faced 61st ranked Belgian Charlotte Destrooper in the first round of elimination.
