Pakistan are under the new regime of Misbah-ul-Haq, the newly appointed head coach and chief selector. And Misbah have taken the terms of improving fitness as his first assignment.

Aiming that, the new head coach has banned all rich foods for Pakistani cricketers including biriyani, red meats, sweets for Pakistani cricketers playing domestic competitions and engaged in national camp.

“No more Biryani or oil-rich red meat meals or sweet dishes for the players now,” said a member of a catering company managing the food plan for the players in a match of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy.

It is reported that Misbah has issued orders to supply only barbecue items and pasta with lots of fruits in the menu of for cricketers in the domestic season and in the national camps.

One of the sources who is aware of the recent development said anonymous, “Pakistani players are known to have a fondness for junk food and rich oily dishes when they are not playing for the national team but Misbah has told every player that a logbook will be maintained on their fitness and diet plans and anyone found lacking would be shown the door.”

Misbah-ul-Haq was considered as one of the fittest cricketers in Pakistan. He played international at the age of 43.
