Born on January 1, 1989, in Paktia, Afghanistan, Amir Mangal is an all-rounder. He is a right-handed batsman and a right arm off break bowler.

He played for 25 teams in his native country but failed to capture the attention of Afghan selectors and move to Germany as a refugee back in 2014.

The dream of Mangal to play international cricket has finally came into light when he appeared for Germany against Belgium. Belgium was the country which adopted him first in the Royal Brussels Cricket Club Ground, Waterloo.

Afghanistan have become a rising power in world cricket in recent times with the likes of prolific performers Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi and Hajratullah Zazai, Mohammad Shahzad and Dawlat Zadran. All of them have made strong remarks for the country in big stage.
