Kohli, Bumrah maintain top position in latest ICC ODI ranking

India skipper Virat Kohli and pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah have maintained their numero uno status in the latest ICC men’s ODI player rankings.
The batting chart is dominated by Kohli and his deputy Rohit Sharma holding the top two positions respectively while their compatriot Bumrah stands tall at the top of the bowling list.
Quite far apart, New Zealand’s Trent Boult stands in the second position of the list with 740 rating points.
South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is in the third position of the list with 694 points while with a single point short, Pat Cummins’ position is fourth in the list.
There are significant rises for Pakistani cricketers in the chart. Mohammad Amir, elevated six spots have received a career best ranking of seven after claiming four wickets in the three match series against Sri Lanka at home.
Afghanistan captain Rashid Khan holding his position in top ten with 658 rating points, he stands at ninth, just a step ahead of Matt Henry.
Among Pakistani batsmen, left-handed Fakhar Zaman rised two places upwards to rest at 16th and Haris Sohail is in 32nd place after being elevated three spots are significant improvements.
Sri Lanka’s Danushka Gunathilaka has reached a career-best 70th place after a century in the final match of the series against Pakistan.
As far as the ICC men’s ODI team rankings are concerned, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have retained 6th and 8th places respectively following the homecoming series in Pakistan.
