Lasith Malinga ready to quit
The veteran had made quite a surprise return in the leading role in later part of the year 2018.

Ace Sri Lankan pacer Lasith Malinga said on Sunday that he is ready to stand down as the country’s Twenty20 skipper after the team’s humiliating series defeat against.
On returning, the 36-year-old opined Sri Lanka was just not good enough to make an impact in the 20 over contest.
“We don’t have that,” Malinga said and subsequently added, “I am ready any time. I am ready to quit.”
In the three match series, the first match was abandoned without a ball being bowled. Henceforth India won the second match by seven wickets and finished the series with a 78 run win in the third and final encounter.
The veteran had made quite a surprise return in the leading role in later part of the year 2018. Previously he captained Sri Lanka in T20 World Cup in 2014 and was in the role since 2016.
Several Sri Lankan media reported about conflicts taken place among the team members after Malinga took over the responsibility this time.
“There seems to be deep divisions in the side. As captain, he has also sidelined his predecessors” including Thisara Perera and Angelo Mathews,” reported Sunday Island.
