Visiting Bangladesh Under-19 team has won the third limited over match against New Zealand Under-19 by 8 wickets and clinched the five match series with two matches left.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy orchestrated the comprehensive win with a fine knock of hundred; he scored unbeaten 103 runs to pave the success for Bangladesh Under-19 at the Bert Sutcliff Oval in Lincoln.

Batting first, New Zealand accumulated 223 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 50 overs. In reply, Bangladesh reached into the victory target with 79 balls left.

The home was quite in disarray losing 6 wickets with only 129 runs on the board from where Lellman and Dickson produced an unbeaten 60 runs in the ninth wicket. Lellman was the top scorer for the team with 116 runs. He slashed 7 fours and five sixes on the way. Meanwhile Dickson was the second highest scorer for the team with 23.

For the touring side, Tanjeem Hasan, Abhishek Das, Hasan Murad all grabbed two wickets each. Shariful Islam picked up a single wicket as well.

Mahmudul Hasan Joy who missed out the century mark for a single run in the second one-day of the series, assured to reach into the feat this time featuring 95 deliveries. He smashed 16 boundaries and one over-boundary on the way to his hundred.

He and Ridoy partnered for 128 runs in the third wicket facilitating Bangladesh’ win at ease. Ridoy completed his half century and became unbeaten scoring 51.

Tamim batted aggressively till his departure at the score of 65. His 64-ball innings contained 8 fours and a six.
