Blowing out the intense speculations in and around, the former Indian captain’s long time friend and business partner said on Friday that Mahendra Singh Dhoni has no immediate plans to retire from international cricket.

Dhoni faced the fatal run-out in the semi-final of the World Cup 2019 against New Zealand ensuring India’s exit from the tournament quite unexpectedly.

“He has no immediate plans to retire. The constant speculation over the future of a great player like him is unfortunate,” Pandey said.

Pandey deals with Dhoni’s business interest besides crowning Rhiti Sports, a sports management company.

Dhoni led India to win major titles in international cricket like the World Cup, World T20 and Champions Trophy.

It was assumed that Dhoni might hang his boots up after the World Cup although the cricketer himself did not comment about the hushes anyway.

A few days ago his childhood coach Keshav Banerjee also said Dhoni’s parents do not want him to wear blue jerseys anymore.

India will be heading towards the Caribbeans for their next assignment after the mega event. The selection committee will meet on Sunday to decide India’s squad for the tour to West Indies, which might came out ending the speculations about Dhoni’s future.
