Mt Maunganui’s Bay Oval will become the ninth Test venue in New Zealand; the first Test of the emerging venue is scheduled to occur on November 1 against England.

New Zealand Cricket (NZC), while revealing the home season fixture, announced that the Bay Oval will host the first Test of the two-match series against England and the second Test will be played at Seddon Park in Hamilton.

Five T20I matches will be played between both the teams before starting the Test series.

NZC chief executive David White briefed, “We’re particularly thrilled for all those involved in securing Bay Oval as New Zealand’s ninth Test venue. A lot of people have worked hard for this recognition and I’m sure the venue will continue to go from strength to strength.”

From January 24, 2020, New Zealand Women’s team will host South Africa for a three-match ODI series and five T20I’s. The Bay Oval will also host the first match of the T20 series.
