This year’s Indian Premier League ( IPL) will beheld in U.A.E

BCCI is very keen to organizing IPL. At the same time, they are trying to arrange training for cricketers.

Ahmedabad, Dharamsala and the United Arab Emirates are the three venues listed by the BCCI.

These venues have been discussed at the BCCI Apex Council meeting.

India has recorded 10 lac cases and 25000 deaths because of the deadly pandemic.

In this difficult moment the possibility of hosting IPL in India and return cricketers to training is quite impossible.

If the IPL does get the September-October window, the cricketers who have been in home quarantine for a long time will be able to return to training also.

The practice facilities are never going to be a problem as we have hosted multi-team events before.

“In the ICC complex alone, there are 38 wickets – spread over the two Oval grounds, the simulated turf wickets as well as the state-of-the-art indoor facilities in case they want to beat the heat,”. Dubai Sports City’s Head of Cricket and Events Salman Hanif said.

The tournament brings in almost 4,000 crores of revenue to the Indian cricket board from global broadcasting rights and sponsorship.

So empty stadium will not be a big problem. UAE has hosted the IPL once before.

There were doubts about providing adequate security for the participants of IPL due to elections in India ,the IPL was held in the United Arab Emirates in 2014.

We will have to wait until the final decision to know whether this popular league will be held in the end.
