Chris Gayle may be out West Indies national team berth but he is not been able to keep out of sight especially if the count is of shortest format of cricket.

The self proclaimed Universe Boss made light work of the bowlers in the ongoing Global T20 Canada with yet another knock nearly missing his second straight ton in the competition.

The Caribbean talisman slammed 94 off just 44 balls to lead Vancouver Knights to a comfortable six-wicket victory over Edmonton Royals on Friday. The knock was studded with six fours and 9 sixes.

Riding on Gayle’s superb ton along with a rapid fire 34 off 17 by Shoaib Malik, Vancouver Knights surpassed the winning total playing 16.3 overs.

The most blazing part of the show was in the 13th over of the second innings, bowled by Pakistan’s Shadab Khan when Gayle struck four sixes and two boundaries.

Gayle, who had hit an unbeaten 122 a couple of days ago, narrowly missed the chance of scoring back-to-back centuries in the Global T20 League.

With this win, Vancouver Knights now stand on the second position in the points table.
