VIVO IPL 2020: 971 players register for auction, six Bangladeshis on list
There are only six players from Bangladesh, three from Zimbabwe and one from the USA.

The grand auction of the VIVO Indian Premier League 2020 is set to be staged on December 9 in Kolkata.
According to the tournament release on Monday, as many as 971 players have registered for the upcoming auction.
73 spots remain there to be fulfilled for which franchises have the time until 5 p.m. of December 9 to submit their respective lists of cricketers that will eventually finalize the auction list.
“The VIVO IPL Player Registration closed on 30th November with 971 players (713 Indian and 258 overseas players) signing up to be a part of the VIVO IPL 2020 Player Auction set to take place in Kolkata on 19th December 2019,” the release said.
Hugh Edmeades will once again be the auctioneer. There are 634 uncapped Indian players while 60 are uncapped international players.
In the list, 196 capped international players are included. Australia have most number of cricketers in the list. They have 55 names while South Africa have 54 cricketers.
Apart from them, there are 39 Sri Lankan players, 34 West Indies players, 24 players from New Zealand, 22 England players and 19 players from Afghanistan.
There are only six players from Bangladesh, three from Zimbabwe and one from the USA.
